Taylor Stubbs For Mayor of Taylor TX

I’m Taylor Stubbs, and I’m running for Mayor to strengthen trust in local government and rebuild real community. My focus is transparency you can follow, city services that work, and growth that pays its fair share so Taylor families aren’t left carrying the burden.

ABOUT
Taylor Stubbs is a local contractor and small business owner who moved to Taylor in 2022 and quickly came to appreciate the strength, character, and potential of this community. I’m running for Mayor because I’ve seen how hard it can be for everyday residents to get clear answers, keep up with rising costs, and feel heard when big decisions are made.
My approach is simple: show up, listen, and be straight with people no sugarcoating. I believe Taylor can grow without leaving longtime neighbors behind by focusing on transparency you can actually follow, reliable city services, and smart planning that puts families first.
If you’ve got concerns, ideas, or just want to talk about what’s working and what’s not, I want to hear from you. Reach out through the Contact page I read the messages myself.
If you’ve ever felt overlooked or brushed aside, this campaign is about real conversations, not special interests. I am asking for your vote and your honest input about what our city needs most.
Let’s talk. Use the Contact page to reach me directly.

PRIORITIES

ROADS
Fix the basics and prevent repairs/bad workmanship like we saw on Lake Drive's repaving last year. We need to invest in our roads properly they are essential for commerce and residents right to travel. We need risk disclosures and guarantees to do things right the first time and to hold contractors to contractual agreements. This is why contractors have insurance and is standard practice in business.
TRANSPARENT CITY HALL
Plain language updates and clear spending explanations. No more covering up deals. We need to show business dealings are done on behalf of the people of Taylor. This is especially important when abatements are being proposed.
UTILITIES AND RELIABILITY
Advocate hard, Document issues, coordinate regionally. The City of Taylor spent approximately $5 million on the cleanup of Winter Storm Mara and emergency response. This cost was funded entirely from the sales and use tax windfall from Samsung construction activity, allowing the city to avoid issuing debt or raising taxes to cover the emergency expense. We need to prepare for the future. We might not be so lucky next time.
PUBLIC SAFETY SUPPORT
Support first responders and Invest in smart prevention. We need to make sure our police and firefighters have the resources they need for our city to grow without risking safety in the name of growth.
RESPONSIBLE GROWTH
Growth pays for growth: we need to protect neighborhoods and invest in infrastructure for all. We need to grow Taylor as a whole. This includes a city wide comprehensive plan that doesn't neglect some neighborhoods and prioritizes others. Equity VS Equality.
COMMUNITY SPACES
Parks, events, and programs that build real connections. Politicians need to stop patting themselves on the back for “one off” events and start building our town. Community growth is essential for our future here in Taylor. We need to think about the future more now than ever.
